Wastequip is looking for a Senior Finance Process Analyst for the Charlotte Headquarters located in South Park.


Position Summary
The Senior Finance Process Analyst drives process improvement and documentation initiatives within Shared Services. This role independently analyzes current-state workflows, identifies gaps and defects in the offshore model, and designs future- state processes that are operationally sound and audit-ready. The incumbent owns SOP development and maintenance across the P2P and O2C cycles and supports D365 remediation by translating operational requirements into systems configuration recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct current- state process mapping for P2P and O2C workflows; document defect patterns and root causes.
  • Design future-state processes that address identified gaps; validate designs with process owners before finalization.
  • Develop business cases for automation and process change investments; quantify expected efficiency and error reduction.
  • Facilitate process walkthrough with offshore and onshore teams; identify misalignment with documented SOPs.

SOP Development & Maintenance

  • Author and maintain Shares Services SOP library across AP, AR, and adjacent functions.
  • Update SOPs on a defined cadence and whenever D365 configuration or policy changes; version-control all documents.
  • Validate offshore team SOP adherence through structures testing windows; document and report compliance rates.
  • Develop training materials for new SOP,; coordinate training delivery with the AR and AP Directors.

D365 Remediation Support

  • Document operational requirements for D365 configuration changes; translate process needs into functional specifications.
  • Participate in D365 remediation testing; validate that system changes produce the expected process outcomes.
  • Maintain the D365 process gap log; track remediation items to closure with documented outcomes.
  • Support master data validation workstreams; vendor, customer, and chart accounts clean-up.

Offshore Quality & Oversight

  • Design quality sampling framework for offshore AP and AR processing; establish defect taxonomies and scoring.
  • Analyze offshore defect data; identify root causes and recommend SOP or training corrections.
  • Produce offshore quality scorecards for the monthly operating review; present findings with recommended actions.

Project Support

  • Manage discrete transformation project workstreams; track milestones, risks, and deliverables independently.
  • Prepare executive-ready project status updates and presentation materials for CFO and VP-level review.
  • Coordinate cross-functional working sessions; prepare agendas, capture decisions, and distribute action items.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years finance operations or process improvement experience; shared services environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, precise SOPs and process documentation independently.
  • Proficiency in the process mapping tool (Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent); ERP workflow documentation experience.
  • Working knowledge of D365 Finance; ability to map process steps to system transactions.
