Our Operational Finance Transformation team serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to CFOs, CAOs and other executive clients. We leverage Deloitte's comprehensive capabilities, assets, and insights to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions. Our mission is to help clients modernize their full suite of end-to-end Finance functions, including Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report processes, with the goal to enhance financial and operational performance, manage financial and audit risks, drive organizational change, and become strategic business partners within their organizations.

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Consultant to join our Operational Finance Transformation team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of the full Finance function (specifically Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report) as well as the related operating model structures, technologies/solutions (including AI use cases and ERP enablement) and performance measurements. Strong analytical and communication skills, and an interest in the intersection of technology, process design, and talent is required. In this role, you will support strategic business transformation initiatives, help develop governance structures, assist in implementing new capabilities, and contribute to optimizing functional processes using leading technologies.

Work you'll do

As a Consultant on the GBS Operational Finance Transformation team, you will support finance transformation initiatives that improve end-to-end finance operations, operating models, and enabling technologies.

  • Support project delivery by preparing materials for meetings, workshops, and client presentations, and by tracking issues, risks, decisions, and status.
  • Analyze current-state finance processes, operating models, and governance structures to identify improvement opportunities across Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report.
  • Assist in developing future-state process designs, business requirements, and implementation approaches that incorporate enterprise resource planning (ERP), workflow, automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities, including communications, training support, and adoption planning.
  • Collaborate with Deloitte teams, client stakeholders, and technology teams to support proposal development, project execution, and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of consulting or industry experience supporting finance operations, shared services, process improvement, or transformation initiatives across Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Information Systems
  • Experience supporting the analysis, design, or implementation of business processes, operating models, or governance frameworks
  • Experience developing client-ready analyses and materials using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience with one or more of the following: ERP platforms, Tableau, Power BI, ServiceNow, Salesforce, HighRadius, BlackLine, Basware, automation tools, or artificial intelligence use cases in finance operations
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting back-office functional optimization, shared services, or outsourcing programs across Invoice to Pay, Invoice to Cash, and Record to Report
  • Experience supporting change management activities, including communications, training, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Prosci, ADKAR, or project management methods or certifications
  • Experience with robotic process automation (RPA), workflow platforms, or technology-enabled business transformation

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $91,100 to $179,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
