Area Director of Finance – Florida Keys ResortsIsla Bella Beach Resort | Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort | Havana CabanaAbout the Role

EOS Hospitality is seeking an experienced and strategic Area Director of Finance to oversee financial operations for three premier Florida Keys resorts: Isla Bella Beach Resort and Tranquility Bay Beachfront Resort in Marathon, along with Havana Cabana in Key West.

This leadership role serves as a key business partner to executive and property leadership teams, providing financial oversight, operational support, and strategic guidance across the portfolio. The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader with strong hospitality experience, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to drive financial performance while maintaining operational excellence.

ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead all financial operations across the assigned resort portfolio, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Partner with executive leadership and General Managers to support strategic planning and business decision-making
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and operational recommendations to maximize profitability and performance
  • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and proactively address opportunities and risks
Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Payroll review
    • General Ledger activity
    • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules in accordance with:
    • GAAP
    • USALI standards
    • Company policies and management agreements
  • Ensure compliance with all reporting deadlines and financial requirements
Budgeting, Forecasting & Capital Planning
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes across all properties
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow projections and operational forecasts
  • Support capital planning initiatives, including:
    • ROI analysis
    • Bid review and vendor coordination
    • Scope evaluation and project tracking
Compliance & Operational Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with licenses, permits, contracts, tax requirements, and legal agreements
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures across all properties
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Lead or support finance-related system implementations and process improvements
Team Leadership & Development
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented team culture
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and ongoing development support
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within hospitality or resort operations
  • Multi-property or hotel/resort finance experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • GAAP
    • USALI
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Financial analysis and controls
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial/accounting systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to operate office equipment and review financial documentation
