Job description

Position Summary

The Corporate Finance Manager supports the Corporate Finance function at Real Capital Operations LLC, with primary responsibility for cash flow forecasting, accounts payable partnership, and recurring accounting oversight across the Store Space self-storage and Sud Stop car wash portfolios. The position owns a suite of 12 entity- and fund-level cash flow models and maintains them on a monthly cadence, producing the forecasting and variance analysis used by Corporate Finance and senior leadership to manage liquidity.

The role serves as Corporate Finance's counterpart to the outsourced accounts payable function and coordinates recurring reconciliation, payment monitoring, and journal entry activity with the Company's outsourced accounting provider and RCP Controller. The position additionally supports Treasury, Asset Management, and Investor Relations with financial modeling and reporting, and contributes to the company's migration from Dynamics GP to NetSuite.

The position reports to the Director of Corporate Finance and is expected to operate with substantial independence across recurring deliverables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cash Flow Forecasting and Modeling

  • Assist with, maintain, and update 12 entity- and fund-level cash flow models on a monthly reporting cadence
  • Design and build three additional cash flow models within the first year, including source data mapping, assumption documentation, creating standard operating procedures, and validation against actual results

 

Accounts Payable Partnership

  • Serve as the Corporate Finance counterpart to the Accounts Payable function
  • Partner weekly with the outsourced Accounts Payable Manager to streamline processing workflows and establish sustainable long-term efficiencies
  • Research invoice-level detail in support of forecasting, financial analysis, vendor maintenance, and cross-functional inquiries
  • Prepare the weekly accounts payable approval schedule for executive review in support of cash management

Leadership Support

  • Support Treasury, Asset Management, and Investor Relations with financial modeling, reporting, and ad hoc analysis
  • Support migration from Dynamics GP to NetSuite, including data validation, mapping review, and continuity
  • Identify, document, and implement process improvements across recurring Corporate Finance workflows
  • Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting for the management company entities

Monthly Accounting Functions

  • Perform payment monitoring, account reconciliation, recurring reporting, and monthly journal entry preparation across outsourced functions including utilities management, property tax, personal property tax, and company credit card programs.
  • Coordinate with the outsourced accounting provider and the RCP Controller across recurring accounting requirements, including reporting, reconciliations, financial research, and accounts payable research
  • Monthly review of company Balance sheets and Income statements
  • Leverage AI platforms), to build scalable SOPs, accelerate financial analysis, and identify opportunities to streamline and optimize existing processes across the finance function.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance
  • Demonstrated ownership of cash flow forecasting or liquidity modeling, including responsibility for the underlying assumptions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated professional use of AI tools (mainly Claude). Candidates should be prepared to describe specific applications they have built or processes they have automated or have a demonstrated mindset to implement technological advancements into daily responsibilities.
  • Experience working with multi-entity financial data and consolidated reporting

Preferred

  • Real estate, private equity, or fund accounting experience
  • Experience with Dynamics GP, NetSuite, or a comparable multi-entity ERP, including participation in a system migration
  • Exposure to lender compliance reporting and debt covenant calculations
  • SQL or equivalent data query capability

Competencies

  • Analytical judgment, with the ability to interpret results and identify implications rather than produce output alone
  • Clear written and verbal communication with both finance and non-finance audiences, including executive leadership
  • Capacity to work independently, prioritize across competing deadlines, and manage recurring close and reporting cycles
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when working across multi-entity data sets and consolidated reporting
  • Ownership orientation, with a demonstrated record of improving the processes for which the individual is responsible

Work Environment

Hybrid position based in Winter Garden, Florida. Standard business hours, with periodically increased hours at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting pay is $115,000 +, dependent on experience
