Job description

About the Role
As a CBRE Finance Associate, you will lead projects, implementations, and training sessions of high complexity related to process improvements.
This job is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function. They are responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
What You'll Do
  • Support monthly client invoicing for the account.
  • Track and reconcile payments as the client is billed.
  • Collect and organize vendor documentation (Adobe Acrobat) to support the team's billing and analytical work.
  • Provide internal support on financial reporting, including an outstanding AR report and other recurring reports.
  • Serve as a right-hand resource to the Finance Analyst, taking on administrative and organizational tasks to free up time for higher-level analysis.
  • Learn CBRE's finance systems and processes, with structured training and mentorship from the account team.
  • Manage assigned tasks independently once ramped up, meeting deadlines and proactively flagging any risk to timelines.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 0-1+ years of relevant experience; High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Basic familiarity with financial reporting concepts (P&L, budget and variance) - coursework-level knowledge is fine.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (comfort with formulas/pivot tables preferred; not required to be advanced).
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus, not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability - able to take ownership of assigned tasks and complete them on schedule.
  • Clear communicator, especially around flagging delays or competing priorities to managers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
