About the Job
This is an opportunity for a high-potential financial analyst to take their skills to the next level within Siemens high-growth SaaS environment at Brightly Software. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys motivating change, finding opportunities for improvement, and backing ideas with solid data analysis.
You'll be part of the Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A) Sales Finance team, which collaborates closely with Performance Controlling and Portfolio & Services Finance. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll have regular exposure to senior leadership across Finance and Sales.
What you will do
Analyze sales and marketing important metrics to uncover performance insights and share findings with senior leadership
Support the monthly commission cycle, ensuring accurate data validation and tracking of approvals across Sales and Finance stakeholders in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Drive transparency and process discipline by monitoring workflow progress, resolving data issues, and contributing to efficient, audit-ready commission operations.
Monitor sales and marketing metrics to understand how key indicators are impacting performance and regularly engage with Senior Leadership in Sales Finance to provide complete insight into key takeaways
Collaborate with global finance and support teams (Revenue Ops, Order to Cash, Accounting, Legal, Tax, etc.) to streamline sales enablement processes
Spot data trends and provide actionable recommendations to Sales Finance Leadership prior to strategic intervention points
Investigate performance anomalies, identify root causes, and elevate findings with clear storytelling
Evaluate sales territory coverage and opportunity pipelines to optimize regular sales activity
Partner with Business Intelligence to design automated tools and dashboards for real-time insight into sales cycle metrics surrounding Lead Generation, Opportunity Creation, Pipeline Management, and Deal Closure
Deliver insights on cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to enhance customer lifetime value. Recommend ways to structure or compensate the sales team to improve output
Support monthly reviews with analysis of Sales Productivity indicators.
Support critical initiatives including benchmarking and competitor market analysis.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
What you need
Minimum Bachelor's degree in finance, or equivalent qualification in a finance-based course of studies with demonstrated academic excellence. Post-graduate qualifications are a plus (MBA)
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in financial analytics, sales/marketing analytics, consulting in a SaaS environment OR if you have completed a Finance talent program for accelerated career development
Demonstrated financial modelling experience, that includes advanced analysis of customers, products, or sales reps
Advanced experience and skills in Digitalization and Automation, especially you are firm with PowerBI, KNIME, Alteryx and Snowflake and are able to understand the requirements for data management and value flows in order to build Senior Management Reporting and dashboards. Experience with Anaplan is a plus
First hands-on experience in using AI to improve operational efficiency, financial analytics and data automation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Basic knowledge of standard sales/marketing metrics is preferred (CAC, SQL/MQL, Close Rates, AOV, TCV, LTV)
Basic understanding of sales incentive planning and calculation
Exposure to Salesforce.com (CRM tools) and its connected tool environment (data analytics and visualization tools such as Clari), and pipeline/funnel management is a plus.
