Finance accounting consulting is a professional service that helps organizations manage their financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and improve business performance. Consultants in this field provide expertise in areas such as financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, tax planning, and risk management. They may also assist businesses in implementing accounting systems, optimizing financial processes, and navigating regulatory changes. By leveraging their knowledge, finance accounting consultants help clients make informed decisions and achieve their financial goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a finance accounting consultant?

To thrive as a Finance Accounting Consultant, you need a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and business strategy, typically supported by a relevant degree and professional certifications like CPA or CFA. Job description

About Talent Solutions at Atrium
Atrium’s Talent Solutions division is a performance driven, production focused business where success is measured by results. Every role contributes to growth, client impact, and revenue outcomes. We operate in a metric driven, sales minded environment with clear goals, accountability, and healthy competition. Effort shows up in numbers, performance is visible, and ownership is expected. This is an environment for professionals who are hungry to produce, motivated by achieving goals, and energized by fast paced work where results drive opportunity and growth.
Position Overview
Atrium is seeking a high performing, sales driven Finance & Accounting Recruiter to manage a full 360 desk, including recruiting, account management, and new business development. This role sits within a growing Finance & Accounting division with a strong client base and significant upside for individuals who consistently perform.
This is a production focused, quota carrying role where success is driven by business development, candidate recruitment, and relationship management. The Recruiter will actively grow a target list of new prospects, regularly interview industry professionals, match talent to direct hire opportunities, and deliver against sales goals while servicing and expanding existing accounts.
The ideal candidate is competitive, resilient, and hungry to win, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, overcomes objections, and takes ownership of both the revenue and delivery sides of the desk, with the drive to maximize their uncapped earning potential.
As a Finance & Accounting Recruiter, you will own and operate a full desk, contributing directly to revenue growth and client success.
Full Desk Recruiting & Sales Execution
  • Manage full cycle recruiting for direct hire Finance & Accounting positions, including sourcing, screening, behavioral‑based interviews, and reference checks
  • Generate, follow up on, and close new business leads while managing and expanding existing client relationships
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of active and passive Finance & Accounting talent through job boards, networking, referrals, and social platforms
  • Consistently interview industry professionals to build a strong candidate network
Business Development & Account Management
  • Grow and manage a target list of prospects through outbound sales efforts, referrals, cross selling, and targeted marketing campaigns
  • Conduct consultative conversations with clients to intake detailed job orders and uncover hiring needs
  • Develop strong client relationships through onsite visits, client meetings, and approved business development activities
  • Negotiate salary offers and fee structures while balancing candidate expectations and client profitability
  • Achieve and exceed sales quotas and production goals
Candidate Management & Delivery
  • “Play matchmaker” by aligning candidate experience, motivation, and skill sets with client needs
  • Prepare candidates thoroughly for interviews and conduct post interview debriefs
  • Maintain accurate and detailed candidate records, notes, and summaries
Market Awareness & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay current on Finance& Accounting industry trends, hiring patterns, and competitive market conditions
  • Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership
  • 1-4+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, sales, or another performance-driven environment, with a demonstrated track record of achieving goals and delivering results
  • Strong sales and relationship-building mindset with the ability to develop business, engage talent, and build credibility with candidates, clients, and internal stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and coachable professional who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and takes ownership of outcomes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills, with experience developing solutions, proposals, and strategies to meet business needs
