Job description

Title: Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm
Location: Canby, OR
Wilson Construction Company is recruiting a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. We welcome team-oriented candidates with a willingness to learn to join our headquarter office in Canby.
This position is our front line in answering calls, greeting visitors, and responding to requests to support our fast-paced office with clerical and administrative tasks. Daily duties consist of heavy administrative work, including answering phone calls, greeting guests, scanning, copying, and filing.
Responsibilities:
• Answer and direct phone calls appropriately on a very busy multi-line phone system;
• Greet and direct visitors and employees in a friendly manner;
• Retrieve mail daily from Post Office (reimbursement for mileage, as necessary);
• Open, date stamp, and distribute mail: incoming, interoffice, and deliveries;
• Prepare packages for delivery through our shuttle service, USPS, UPS, or FedEx daily;
• Maintain reception area and all common areas in a stocked, clean, and tidy manner at all times;
• Clean kitchens daily; may include taking out garbage and recycling;
• Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed;
• Scanning and electronic filing of documents;
• Large copying/printing projects, often on a weekly basis
• Assist administrative team with daily tasks as needed;
• Assist with office team building events; and
• Project work as assigned to support all departments such as special mailings, photocopying projects, filing projects, and various organizational projects.
Requirements:
• 1 year of experience in a professional office environment;
• Multi-line reception experience in a professional office setting is a plus;
• Familiarity with standard office protocol and office equipment;
• Experience in Word/Excel/Outlook;
• Microsoft Teams experience is a plus;
• Alpha and numeric filing skills;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Works well under pressure;
• Willingness to support and help out where needed;
• Task and time management skills with the ability to handle a fluctuating workload;
• Must have a clean driving record;
• Punctual, dependable, and reliable with strong attendance history; and
• Ability to lift, stand, reach or bend for extended periods of time.
