  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and care coordinators, to create a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

  • Document all clinical interactions in the EHR system meticulously to ensure all patient records are updated and compliant with legal and ethical standards.

  • Deliver crisis intervention services, supporting individuals in acute distress and ensuring effective de-escalation strategies are employed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will be working primarily with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing varying degrees of mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other related conditions. Our patient population is characterized by its diversity in cultural backgrounds, age groups, and life experiences, requiring a therapist who is culturally competent and sensitive to different perspectives in therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in psychology, social work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

  • A valid and active license in New York State as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW-R, or LCSW.

  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.

  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

  • Proven ability to deliver both individual and group therapy, employing inclusive and culturally responsive strategies.

  • Excellent crisis intervention and communication skills, with a particular focus on building rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Proficient with EHR systems and essential computer applications, ensuring effective management and documentation of patient care.

  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethical standards, confidentiality, and boundaries in all client interactions.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-informed care or specific certifications in evidence-based practices such as CBT or DBT will be given preference.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Paid time off, including unlimited paid time off options, which allows for flexible scheduling and encourages self-care.

  • Support for continuing education, including funding for workshops, training sessions, and additional certifications.

  • Career advancement opportunities within our organization, empowering therapists to take on leadership roles or develop specialties based on interests.

  • An inclusive, collaborative work culture that values input and fosters professional development.
