Pocket-lint is a leading authority on consumer tech, digital entertainment, and smart home gear, reaching millions of readers with up-to-the-minute news, authoritative reviews, and deep-dive guides.
As a worldwide leader in the tech space, Pocket-lint operates at a rapid pace and we are currently looking for a Streaming & AV (Audio/Visual) Author to join our team on a 1099 freelance basis. This is someone who can create original, high-quality content regarding streaming platforms, smart TVs, home theater setups, and audio/visual hardware in a timely manner.
Your Responsibilities
  • Research and write original buying guides, tutorials, and news specifically related to streaming hardware, platforms, and AV setups.
  • Extract the core of a story quickly to deliver informative and timely reports in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pitch unique, reader-obsessed article topics (e.g., Plex optimization, Roku tips, HDMI standards, Smart TV troubleshooting) to our Editorial team regularly.
  • Input work into our in-house CMS, as well as find and format images, according to our guidelines.
  • Stay up to date on the latest streaming ecosystem updates, AV hardware news, and home theater products.
  • Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback.
