Requirements

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Have one or more years of experience installing and/or servicing overhead doors and docks, or other similar mechanical, electrical, construction, or field service.
  • Be a master of hand and power tools, showcasing your knowledge in this area.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude that enables you to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges.
  • Be a team player who can also work independently.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
  • Have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Be capable of regularly lifting anywhere between 50-100 lbs.  

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, and drive a company vehicle. The employee is frequently required to reach above shoulder height; climb or balance; and be mobile within the office.   The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that an individual must meet to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.


Protective Clothing Required: Closed-toed shoes required.   • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, third-party experts, and co-workers. 
  • Strong basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals) and ability to effectively read and utilize a tape measure.
  • Ability to think methodically and apply a logical step-by-step approach to work.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with many different variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Â
