Position: Special Education Secretary ( 12 month )
Location: Central Office
Criteria:
• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative or secretarial experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of office management and record-keeping procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to organize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Job Goal:
• To provide comprehensive administrative, clerical, financial, and organizational support to the Director of Special Education while ensuring efficient operation of the department and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing special education programs and services.
Preferred Experience:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Education or related field.
• Experience in a school district, special education department, or public agency.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and state special education regulations.
• Experience with student information systems and special education software programs.
