Siemens Healthineers is building a strong pipeline of Medical Imaging Field Engineers across our Western Zone to support current and future business needs. This evergreen requisition represents anticipated openings at varying experience and grade levels, depending on business demand, project scope, and candidate qualifications.

Role Overview

Field Engineer supporting Imaging Systems, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on imaging equipment across multiple modalities, including MR, CT, X-Ray, and advanced diagnostic systems. This role is a remote position in the field.

Key Responsibilities (Scope Varies by Level)

  • You willbe responsible forinstalling, troubleshooting,repairingand performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcaresystemsat customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • You willbe responsible fordelivering bothtimelyand effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensureoptimalsystem performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
  • You will manage financial performance within their territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expensecontroland inventory management.
  • You will manage company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.
  • Establish andmaintainproper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

  • You have knowledge and experience performing service, preventativemaintenanceand modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • You have the ability and experience toestablishand maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • You have experience in testing,repairingandmaintainingcapital medical equipment.
  • You have strong customer service and communication skills.
  • You are proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment.
  • General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.

  • Minimum high school diploma; technicalAssociates Degreeor equivalent preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Proficiencyin all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited toeVO,mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website-Engineer Tools).
  • 3+years' experienceas a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments needed.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, andgood drivingrecordrequired.
  • Physical Requirements: Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Mustdemonstrateexcellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources; strongcompetency in instrument systems technology to include mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology; experience with electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Candidates must reside in in a Western Zone state
  • This is a field-based role and requires extensive travel

Company Vehicle Included - Personal Use Permitted: -This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. To be eligible for employment, applicants must hold a valid driver's license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).

Compensation: Base salary is commensurate with experience; CSE Levels 1 through 4 ($65,000 - $100,000 annually). There is also a 5% annual incentive associated with the position.
