Gator Bio (formerly known as Probe Life) is a biotech companyย locatedย in Palo Alto, CA. We are creating innovative technologies to solve difficult problems facing today's healthcare industries. We develop, manufacture and market instruments, biosensors, reagents, and consumables for in-vitro diagnostics and biotherapeutic development. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate biological analysis for biotherapeutic research and development.ย 

We are hiring aย remoteย Field Application Scientist. This FAS willย be responsible forย providing pre-sales and post-sales support. Prior to product launch, this position will also be involved in developing protein-protein interaction assays usingย the company'sย proprietary technologies.ย 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Providing advanced high-level technical application support and presentations at customer sites, vendor conferences, webinars, and scientific meetings.ย 

  • Performing BLI analysis of customer samples involving specificity, kinetics, and affinity of biomolecular interactions.ย ย 

  • Providing pre- and post-sales support (product demonstrations, technical presentations, seminars, training, and customer service) through joint customer sales visits.ย 

  • Developing and transferring expert knowledge through training and support of relevant hardware and software while staying current with new assay development.ย 

  • Proactively addressing and supporting customer service initiatives and sales goalย objectives.ย ย 

  • Contributing to the development of application notes and teaching manuals.ย ย 

  • Writing technical documents that highlight new and innovative applications resulting inย usingย Gator Bio's BLI Next Generation systems and label-free solutions.ย 

  • Staying informed of new areas of technology through research, publications, and patents while partnering with collaborators and industry KOL's.ย ย 

  • Reporting on competitor's products and feedback information to the Sales and Product Management teams.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD or experienced preferred, MS levelย requiredย with 5 years' experience with label free technology,ย such as,ย Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) or similar instrumentation.ย 

  • Experience withย immunoassaysย development, such as ELISA, SPR, BLI or similar technology.ย 

  • Expertiseย in label-free technology Bio-Layer Interferometry or Surface Plasmon Resonance products preferred.ย 

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to articulate effectively with customers and internal teams.ย ย ย 

  • Self-motivated, well-organized, ability to develop contacts and build rapport at all levels.ย 

  • Liquid Handler experience with Tecan, Hamilton, or Perkinย Elmerย a plus.ย 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to a diverse level of internal and external clientsย required.ย 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SFDC, or other related CRM sales funnel tools.ย 

  • Ability to travel upwards of 50% and willingness toย operateย from a remote home-baseย location in addition to working on-site.ย
