• Ensure compliance with fiduciary and premium trust accounting standards
• Perform financial analysis, variance reporting, and cost center performance reviews
• Drive process improvements, automation, and accounting system enhancements
Qualifications for the AVP Operations Accountant:
• 6–8+ years of accounting experience, preferably within insurance, MGA, brokerage, or carrier environments
• Strong expertise in general ledger, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a working manager capacity
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA, MBA, or MAcc preferred)
• Experience with financial close, audits, and budgeting processes
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or agency management systems
