Job description

TekCom Resources is seeking aDirector of Fiber Operationsfor a fast-growing, outside plant construction firm in the Harrisburg/York Pennsylvania region! The ideal candidate will have a background indirecting all aspects of OSP/Fiber construction projects to ensure schedules, budgets and contractual commitments are being met. Youllprovide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to construction personnel and OSP vendors. This is an entrepreneurial, new-build environment that will allow you to create policies, procedures and solutions that make sense to expedite deployment. You must have a strong command of OSP field operations and a proven track record of driving or maintaining profitability within a smallcompany environment.
As a regionally focused Director of Operations, we are seeking a candidate that can commute daily in the Harrisburg/York, PA area. This position requires some regional/local travel.
Role:
  • Forward facing interactions with senior leadership on our side and the customer side.
  • Overseeing all day-to-day construction and working within SOPs
  • Overseeing the compilation of invoices and as-builts
  • P&L responsibility and minimum profitability
  • Growth and development of managers
  • Process improvement as necessary
  • Market growth where possible
  • Vendor management
  • Travel between markets as necessary and needed
  • Proven ability to start and grow individual offices as needed

What we would like to see
  • At least 10 years of telecommunications industry experience
  • Prior experience in OSP Operations, standing up an office
  • Project Management, business operations experience
