Position Overview
FIA NOW Employment Solutions is recruiting a Head of School for a community-based K-12 school committed to providing an excellent educational option to the families it serves. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, this leader will guide academics, people, operations, finances, and community relationships while keeping student success at the center of the work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set a clear K-12 academic vision and measurable priorities for student achievement and readiness after high school.
  • Strengthen instruction and use data to guide continuous improvement across grade levels.
  • Hire, develop, and retain strong school leaders, teachers, and staff.
  • Build a safe, accountable, and student-centered school culture.
  • Oversee finances, staffing, operations, compliance, and long-term organizational sustainability.
  • Partner effectively with the Board of Trustees and provide clear reporting on school performance and priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with students, families, employees, and community partners.


RequirementsRequired Experience and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated K-12 leadership experience with responsibility for improving student outcomes and school performance.
  • Experience leading principals, senior leaders, or a school or education organization.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, student support, and school culture.
  • Experience overseeing budgets, staffing, operations, compliance, and organizational decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively with a governing Board and build trust across diverse groups.
  • A master's degree or equivalent advanced preparation is required.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in or knowledge of Pennsylvania K-12 education, including public district, charter, private, or independent school settings.
  • Experience leading within a diverse school community.
