Job description

Join the EandM Sales Team and help our customers build the future.

Our account managers sell automation solutions to engineers and operations teams solving real-world problems. If you want to sell something you can be proud of, this is the role.

We work in industries ranging from aerospace to food and beverage to solar energy and beyond.

Who is EandM?

EandM is a value-added distributor of Siemens, Festo, SICK, and other manufacturers. With a sixty-year history, we are proud of our heritage and work hard as a team. Our automation product lines are industry leaders on the West Coast.

A Day in the Life of an EandM Account Manager

As a salesperson at EandM, you will craft solutions based on partnerships with your customers, meeting their technical and business requirements for each project. It's satisfying work - different and demanding every day.

EandM Account Managers have curious minds and a commitment to ongoing training and education. They bring the drive and enthusiasm; we provide a world-class technical team and product lineup.

This role rewards people who are self-motivated, proactive about prospecting, and energized by building new relationships - not just managing existing ones. That said, we're willing to consider applicants at all experience levels. What will really impress us is your work ethic, curiosity, and intelligence.

What We Expect from Our Account Managers

  • Develop and maintain direct customer relationships, including prospecting and building relationships with new accounts.
  • Log sales activities (phone calls, site visits, quotes) in our CRM to stay on track.
  • Evaluate potential accounts by assessing account potential, competition, and business needs.
  • Provide sales support at EandM roadshows and workshops.
  • Follow up on leads generated through EandM's ongoing marketing programs.
  • Identify the cost of a customer's problem and deliver a solution of superior value.
  • Maintain a high daily volume of calls and customer visits - this is a high-volume sales environment, and that activity is central to the role.

You'll work partly from a home office, partly from the road, and partly from our office in Irvine, servicing customers in the greater Los Angeles territory.
