Job description

Summary of job contents
The Facilities Technician I supports facilities operations by executing basic maintenance tasks, upkeep, assisting with preventative maintenance, and responding to service requests. Works under direction and escalate issues beyond capability.
Key accountabilities
    • Execute assigned preventative maintenance tasks
    • Respond to basic service requests and maintenance work
    • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs under guidance
    • Support contractor work on-site (access and basic assistance)
    • Maintain accurate work order updates in CMMS
    • Identify and escalate issues beyond capability
    • Support general Facilities activities to upkeep and maintain safe and functional operations
    • Regular communication with Facilities Coordinator and team
    • Coordination with team members on task execution, support and escalation
    • Interacts regularly with internal customer
  • Travel may be required via any mode of transportation as determined by Company for business reasons such as, but not limited to, skill development, training, or a company business event. This would include travel to Corporate Headquarters/Field Offices.

Knowledge and Experience
  • High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent or qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in construction or property maintenance
  • 1-3 years in maintenance. similar role, or equivalent
  • Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Familiarity of basic building repairs and tools
  • Follow direction and complete assigned tasks
  • Willingness to learn facility systems
