Job Purpose and Impact

TheDiamond V-Ruminant NutritionRegional Sales Manager - East Coast with the Diamond V ruminant and dairy business will, with guidance, sell directly to the consumer or business purchaser or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will conduct face-to-face and remote sales with new and existing customers, assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions.

This is a homebased position; however, candidates must reside in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Vermont, or the surrounding area. The role requires up to 75% travel throughout the assigned all East Coast territory.

Diamond Vs natural immune support postbiotic feed additives help optimize animal health, animal performance, and preharvest food safety. We provide expert, experienced, technical support to our customers to help keep their animals healthy and grow their businesses. Based on 80 years of research and development, Diamond V continues to explore and innovate in postbiotic and microbial fermentation science and technology.

Key Accountabilities
  • Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships.
  • With guidance conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities.
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
  • Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in sales for ruminant nutrition, animal health or related field
  • Experience in the dairy industry focus on ruminant nutrition optimization of animal health and animal performance
  • Able and willing to travel up to 75%
  • Valid drivers license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years of sales experience
  • Experience with technical sales, able to provide technical support to dairies, nutritionists, and veterinarians
  • Sales experience in animal feed, animal health, additives and supplements
Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $75,000 $150,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount depends upon company performance and your personal performance.
