Job description

OBJECTIVE:
To assist in Mill Operations, ensuring the mill run efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)

  • Execute repair and maintenance of feed mill equipment
  • Assist in planning upgrades and PM shutdowns
  • Accurately complete all paperwork
  • Identify equipment throughout the mill
  • Monitor proper grain storage and condition assuring quality of product

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

  • Grind and manufacture complete feed
  • Assist in loading complete feed trucks and unloading ingredient trucks
  • Assist at the mill to re-fill micro table or weigh out hand adds
  • Assist in maximizing the efficiency of mill
  • Other projects as assigned by Nutrition Team
  • Perform general work around the facility and other necessary upkeep

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma

Experience:
Feed or grain handling, computer automation, and/or manufacturing experience.

Work Environment:
Agricultural swine environment in rural area
Noise levels that may require hearing protection in some areas

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance from another person as needed
Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 - 10 hours per day
Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, pulling and kneeling

Additional Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
Class A CDL preferred

Compensation, Pay & Benefits:
Compensation rate of $20-$28 hour, depending on experience
