Job description

Primary Purpose

To ensure the manufacture of quality finished feed through proper equipment operation, execute and maintain preventative maintenance schedule. Responsible for daily inspection of feed mill, boiler room. Assist the plant manager with the operations budget. Maintain equipment records, plant diagrams. repair records, costs, and manuals.This position is for 1st/Day Shift.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Personnel Management and Development:  Teaching proper techniques/training on equipment. RESULTS less down time and quality product.
  2. Runs and manages preventative maintenance system Manage CER and major repair projects, communicate with vendors and contractors. Work closely with mill team, finding the correct solution.  Results Quality repairs and team building.
  3. Maintain and monitor M&R activities for the mill.  Getting input from all managers.  Checking with operators.  RESULTS producing a quality product.
  4. Analytics: Creating historical data files. Results helps to isolate problem areas in the future and make decisions.
  5. Create and promote a culture of safety.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.  Technical training in mechanics, computer skills.
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience plus 2+ yrs. mechanical experience or feed mill. Supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience in 3 phase electric. Hydraulics.
