Job description

Our team is seeking a motivated and talented Federal Financial Expert to join our federal support team. This position is ideal for an Accountant in the federal workspace looking to leverage the latest Oracle tools including AI and APEX capabilities.  You will collaborate with federal workers, senior developers and analysts to provide system support, gather requirements and work with developers to build, and enhance applications within our proprietary Oracle-based ERP financial system, supporting modernization and innovation efforts across federal projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with on-site support teams to run and/or reconcile financial reports
  • Provide support and troubleshoot issues on financial systems
  • Provide late night support during the closing of month, quarter, and year-end closings
  • Gather requirements and work with developers in the design, development, and deployment of applications leveraging Oracle APEX and AI capabilities
  • Support documentation of development activities, configuration management, and deployment steps
  • Contribute to document and improve internal development standards and best practices

 Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

 The candidate must have:

Secret Clearance

  • A minimum of 4 years of Federal Accounting experience
  • Effective communicator and collaborative team player
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust security clearance?

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Federal knowledge in Payments, Payroll, or Reimbursable Activity
  • Exposure to Oracle APEX
  • Interest in expanding knowledge

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field

Compensation

$125,000 - $145,000 annually (based on the National Capital Region)
