What You Will Do:
Our Financial Management professionals help our clients in Defense and National Security optimize all elements of their financial management structure by transforming business processes, enhancing operational efficiency, improving transparency and performance management, promoting change management, and complying with Federal laws and regulations.
Specific initiatives and work products that this role supports include:
  • Provide strategic leadership for large-scale DFAS financial transformation, AI adoption, and modernization efforts
  • Shape solution architectures across analytics, AI/ML, data engineering, automation, and financial process improvement
  • Direct multi-team delivery across workstreams involving enterprise data, Treasury reporting, IGT, and controls
  • Advise senior DFAS and DoW stakeholders on modernization strategy, AI governance, IL5 readiness, and integration roadmap
  • Drive quality assurance, risk management, stakeholder communications, and long-term client relationship development
  • Lead development of scalable, explainable AI and analytics solutions aligned with DFAS mission, compliance, and auditability
  • Mentor managers and senior technical leads; develop workforce capability and delivery excellence

What You Will Need:
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • TEN (10) years of experience leading complex federal financial management, analytics, technology, or AI programs
  • Demonstrated success leading large teams, managing multi-phase transformation initiatives, and engaging executive-level clients; deep expertise in federal financial reporting, audit requirements, and financial systems integration; and the ability to shape AI-enabled capabilities and guide technical and functional integration efforts.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience advising DFAS, DoD, OUSD(C), or CFO Act agencies at the enterprise level; expertise with platforms such as WDP/Advana, Databricks, ERPs, Treasury systems, and enterprise automation tools; experience with AI governance, model oversight, MLOps, data lineage, and IL5/FedRAMP-High architectures; and relevant professional certifications including CPA, CDFM, CGFM, PMP, SAFe, cloud architect, or AI/analytics credentials.

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$225,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
