Role Summary

The Director, Technology & Digital Services is responsible for the execution, security, reliability, and continuous improvement of corporate technology services across FEAM Aero. This role leads the IT Operations team, Business Systems team, and IT Service Delivery function, serving as the primary owner of day-to-day technology execution while translating CIO strategy into measurable operational outcomes.

This position owns corporate infrastructure, cybersecurity, service delivery, and business systems, with priority accountability for Workday (HCM & Financials), Quantum Control, and all other corporate platforms. The Director balances operational excellence, transformation, and adoption, ensuring technology initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Operations & Infrastructure

  • Lead the IT Operations team responsible for corporate infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, endpoints, identity, and core IT operations.
  • Own cybersecurity execution end-to-end, including security tooling, monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and access controls.
  • Ensure availability, performance, and resilience of technology services supporting 1,500+ users across 30+ locations.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure modernization, capacity planning, and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, documentation, and controls aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Business Systems & Digital Platforms

  • Own business systems with priority accountability for:
    • Workday (HCM & Financials)
    • Quantum Control (MRO platform)
    • All other corporate systems and applications
  • Oversee system integrations, data flows, automation, and workflow optimization across platforms.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements that drive operational efficiency, compliance, and decision-making.
  • Champion adoption, training, and change management to ensure technology investments deliver measurable value.

IT Service Delivery & User Experience

  • Own end-to-end IT service delivery, ensuring consistent, high-quality support across all locations.
  • Provide oversight of ITSM processes, service metrics, SLAs, and continual service improvement.
  • Manage relationships with Managed Service Providers and vendors to ensure performance, accountability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Drive standardization and automation of service processes to improve responsiveness and user satisfaction.

Project Execution, Planning & Prioritization

  • Partner closely with the IT Project Manager to ensure technology initiatives follow a consistent lifecycle, including proposal development, planning, implementation, and post-implementation review.
  • Ensure projects have clearly defined deliverables, timelines, ownership, and success metrics.
  • Maintain visibility into active and upcoming initiatives, ensuring teams are prioritized appropriately and aligned to strategic roadmaps.
  • Hold teams accountable for meeting deadlines, managing dependencies, and escalating risks early.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to continuously improve delivery discipline and outcomes.

Leadership, Governance & Financial Management

  • Lead and develop IT managers and team leads across operations, systems, service delivery, and project execution.
  • Own a consolidated IT services budget, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, vendors, and services.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure service health, delivery performance, risk, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, cybersecurity standards, and applicable audit requirements.
  • Serve as a key internal partner to the CIO, Finance, Operations, and business leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary internal owner for technology execution, service performance, and delivery accountability.
  • Support occasional customer, auditor, and regulatory interactions as required.
  • Communicate clearly with leadership on priorities, risks, progress, and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience spanning infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, service delivery, and project execution.
  • Proven ownership of business platforms such as Workday (required), ERP/MRO systems (preferred), and ITSM tools.
  • Strong background in cloud and hybrid environments, cybersecurity operations, and vendor management.
  • Experience operating in a distributed, operationally critical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance operational stability with transformation and adoption.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and execution discipline.
