Position Overview

The Agency Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between Stanley Lewis Plumbing and Heating Corp and key New York City regulatory agencies, including the New York City Fire Department, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and New York City Department of Buildings. This role ensures all plumbing, heating, and compliance-related activities meet applicable codes, regulations, and filing requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main liaison between the company and NYC agencies (FDNY, DEP, DOB).
  • Prepare, submit, and track permits, applications, and filings related to plumbing and heating work.
  • Coordinate inspections, approvals, and signoffs with agency representatives.
  • Monitor compliance with NYC building codes, environmental regulations, and fire safety standards.
  • Respond to agency inquiries, violations, and objections in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of permits, filings, and correspondence.
  • Stay updated on changes in local laws, codes, and agency procedures.
  • Work closely with customers, project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Expedite approvals and resolve issues that may delay projects.
Qualifications

  • Experience working with NYC agencies such as FDNY, DEP, and DOB preferred.
  • Strong understanding of NYC plumbing codes, building regulations, and filing processes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
