GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of Accela Configuration/Scripter, to join our Fire Department of New York (FDNY) Team located in Albany, NY. FDNY provides mission-critical building inspections and fire prevention inspections services to prevent and mitigate potential fires and other hazardous conditions throughout the 5 boroughs of the City of New York.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Should know Accela Configurations and Scripting.
  • Fluent with both Accela Customer Portal and BackOffice.
  • Worked on Legacy Data conversion modules and Accela Data Conversion tool
  • Communicate with other members of Dev, Test & functional teams on a regular basis.
  • Help with Accela deployments, production support issues.
  • Work with Infrastructure teams to ensure Dev environment is monitored & running without issues.
  • Work with Technical Writers and Training teams to bring them up-to-speed on developed modules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development.
  • 2-4 years of Accela Configuration, Scripting, deployments and troubleshooting production issues
  • Web server technologies (WebSphere/JBoss preferred)
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON
  • Knowledge of relational database technologies
  • Supporting Agile software development teams
  • Knowledge of Performance & Security tools is a plus
  • Infrastructure automation experience is a plus
  • Support deployments across multiple environments through coordination with internal development teams.
  • Good understanding of both Waterfall and Agile Methodologies. Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently with very little functional guidance. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Required knowledge and use of Tools: GIT, Source build system. Knowledge of other tools is a plus e.g. Postman, Fiddler etc.
  • Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, SharePoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and Positive attitude towards work.
