JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Imaging Operations Support role is managing the basic PACS needs of the Stockbridge and Locust Grove Imaging Centers. In addition to the PACS responsibilities the team member will order and schedule exams. The team member will also assist with other duties within the Imaging Admin dept. The team member will report to the Imaging Admin lead.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Answer all incoming calls to the Imaging Admin department
  • Upload all incoming CD's into the Synampse PACS system
  • Move incoming PowerShare images to our PACS system
  • Send PowerShare images to requesting facilities
  • Mailing CDs and reports as requested by non – PowerShare facilities
  • Pull reports from EPIC system at Piedmont and Wellstar facilities for PowerShare studies
  • Requesting all images except mammography images (either by phone/fax or PowerShare for Aylo patients
  • Create and schedule exams from faxes for outside ultrasounds
  • Manage incoming faxes for Imaging admin and the Imaging Center
  • Schedule imaging appointments
  • Keep logs for biopsies
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an imaging department preferred
  • Previous experience with eClinical Works electronic medical records software preferred
  • Previous experience in basic PACS functions and PowerShare preferred
  • Medical Terminology
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organization, time management and multi-tasking abilities to meet assigned deadlines
  • Communicate effectively, both written and orally, with all levels of the organization, team members and patient
