Embry-Riddle Athletics is seeking applicants for the 2026-2027 Marketing and Development internship. We are looking for an intern with a versatile skillset who is willing to learn and brings a positive attitude to the workplace to help build upon the team-oriented culture we have established. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is an NCAA Division ll institution and competes in the Sunshine State Conference.

Job Description

Assist in the development and implementation of season-long marketing campaigns, game-day promotional activities, game day scriptwriting, organizing presentations and groups, game day contests and entertainment, and managing in-game elements.

Design and create digital and print marketing collateral, including graphics for social media, websites, posters, co-branded giveaways, flyers, and various types of digital signage, etc.

Develop and maintain on-campus relationships including faculty/staff, student clubs & organizations, departments, colleges, etc.

Develop and maintain community relationships including corporate partners, youth and educational organizations, volunteer networks, and other affinity groups.

Support the department in corporate partnership initiatives by assisting with prospecting and soliciting new sponsors, developing strong professional relationships with partners, creating proposals for potential prospects, and activating contracted assets throughout the season.

Proactive in researching and coordinating activities and events on campus and in the Daytona Beach Community to increase brand awareness of the athletics program.

Support the Eagle Landing Student Club coordination, focusing on student engagement, activations and programming, and ensuring a memorable fan experience.

Support the Michelob Ultra Courtside Club coordination, focusing on group sales, scheduling, and ensuring a memorable fan experience.

Develop fan relations - You will be responsible for interacting with fans and enhancing the game-day fan experience through game day and grassroots marketing efforts.

Support ticket sales game day responsibilities, including sales kiosk setup, game day sales, and/or group fan experiences.

Support administrative responsibilities, including tracking attendance, maintaining fan contact lists, and the ordering and purchasing of marketing materials.

Manage and coordinate various appearances for the university's mascot, Ernie the Eagle.

Assist in managing the student spirit club, Elevation Nation.

Assist in special events.

Supports the entire External team with any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

"Fans First" mindset.

Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.

Strong willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

Knowledge of the functions of a collegiate athletics department.

Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed aligning with game schedules and special events

Preferred Qualifications

Previous intercollegiate athletics or professional sports experience, with an interest in sports marketing and/or collegiate athletic administration as a career path.

Previous experience with fan engagement and game-day operations.

Knowledge and experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and/or Canva.

Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok).

Compensation

Interns receive a total compensation of $25,200 for the duration of the internship. In addition, this internship includes an optional university meal plan (taxable).
