Responsibilities

The Jorgensen Family YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive part-time Facility Support Assistant person to join our team to assist with caring for the facility, with a focus on cleaning.

  • Care: Maintain a clean environment and facility.
  • Transform: Perform janitorial duties (i.e. bathrooms, windows, floors, trash, detail cleaning, etc.)
  • Support: Engage and interact with members and staff within the facility.
  • Deliver: Participate as an active team member for the overall advancement of the Association.

Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • This position requires the ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Part-time $11.85-$12.35 hourly

Hours Available: Monday- Thursday 3:00pm-8:00pm
