Family Support Driver information
What is the difference between Family Support Driver vs Personal Care Assistant?
| Aspect | Family Support Driver | Personal Care Assistant |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Valid driver's license, background check | CPR certification, caregiving training |
| Work Environment | Transporting clients, driving in community settings | Providing personal care in homes or facilities |
| Employer & Industry | Family, home care agencies, community services | Home health agencies, assisted living facilities |
While both roles support individuals in a care setting, the Family Support Driver primarily focuses on transportation and driving responsibilities, whereas the Personal Care Assistant provides direct personal care and assistance. The roles often overlap in home care environments, but their core duties and required credentials differ significantly.
