A family partner provides support for a parent or caregiver to help meet the behavioral, emotional, and educational goals of a child or adolescent. In this social work career, you are responsible for ensuring families get the support they need. Your job duties include coordinating family services, establishing and implementing the goals of youth treatment plans, guiding family members, and helping people access community resources. You may also work with a team to plan family wellness programs. Qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree, strong interpersonal skills, and prior experience building relationships with parents or caregivers with special needs children.
