Job description

The Assistant Property Manager will serve as the assistant leader of a multi-family community within our companyโ€™s portfolio. The successful candidate will play an integral role to a team of professionals who maintain and increase occupancy, increase revenue, and decrease operational expenses through the superior delivery of managerial skills, risk management, financial responsibility, policy compliance, and the optimum performance of the property in such areas as personnel management, leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance, revenue enhancement, and capital improvements.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

Minimum of one year of experience in multi-family management.

Experience leading and managing on-site team members in achieving professional goals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required in order to communicate with vendors, residents, management, co-workers, and all other persons associated directly or indirectly.

Proficiency in current Microsoft Office Suit applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the capability to master Property Management specific software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for all operational aspects of the community and for meeting company goals in those areas. Results are achieved by facilitating the optimum performance of the property in areas such as personnel management, leasing, collections, resident services, maintenance, revenue enhancement, capital improvements, information reporting and compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. The position reports to the Regional Manager and supervises all on site personnel in leasing and maintenance functions.

Adhere to standards of performance and quality expectations with a clear focus on resident experience and retention.

Lead and develop on-site management team to adhere to and perfect policy, and be ready for growth within the organization.

Collaborate with Property Manager in the planning and implementation of major capital improvement projects, operational projects, and personnel management and training.
