Job description

About Us:

Brado's Insight is a fresh, intimate understanding of people's beliefs that has the power to genuinely change behavior. Our team takes on the most complex problems, and provides solutions that are both simple and surprising.

In 1996, Brado started as a creative agency. Believing most research approaches stymied creativity versus inspiring it, Brado saw an opportunity to shift to a new kind of strategic marketing research firm. Today, the Brado insight team is nationally recognized for its creativity and inspirational insight.

The Role:

We're looking for a Qualitative Insight Director to join our team. This individual is a creative problem solver who consistently and effectively executes projects. You must be able to quickly gain the confidence of clients who see Brado as strategic consultants beyond traditional market researchers. You must be able to engage an audience — writing and presenting your ideas, observations, and recommendations in a clear, compelling manner. Above all, you must be a growing strategic thinker — someone who inspires confidence by identifying insight that provides clear direction for clients and their agencies.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Projects:

  • Accountable for ensuring assigned projects are delivered on time and against client objectives.
  • Thinks proactively throughout the project to anticipate and quickly addresses changes to approach, design, objectives, etc.
  • Effectively designs studies and writes proposals.
  • Thoughtfully crafts questionnaires and discussion guides with appropriate techniques and activities and structures questions that address objectives and fit with participant type.
  • Effectively moderates 1:1 and group interviews and online engagements (e.g., Communities, Remesh).
  • Creatively and quickly connects the dots, identifying emerging themes and how they connect to the bigger story.
  • Consistently incorporates strategic elements into the report including the story flow, emerging implications (the “so what?”), and recommendations (the “now what?”)
  • Appropriately adds visual elements to communicate the story.
  • Leverages client and industry knowledge and external frameworks, anecdotes, constructs, macro and micro-trends, psychological understanding, etc., to elevate the strategy.
  • Writes succinctly and to the audience, with clarity, conviction, and tension as well as polish and professionalism.

Client Relationships:

  • Commands a confident, captivating, respectful, agile, and consultative presence when engaging with the client.
  • Develops rapport and builds empathy for and with the client, leading to long-term relationships.
  • Develops and continually deepens understanding of the client's business and the individual client to ask the right questions and anticipate needs.
  • Proactively addresses issues or opportunities in the client’s business, including further research or strategy work.
  • Manages tenuous client situations with a steady presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree ideally in business, journalism, marketing, economics, social sciences (psychology, anthropology, sociology).
  • 7+ years experience moderating and delivering excellent client deliverables in a market research or agency setting.
  • 5+ years of strategic market research, advertising, creative or account planning experience with research, advertising, creative, or digital agencies and/or experience as a marketing executive, marketing consultant, behavioral scientist, or usability and user experience consultant or researcher
  • Pharmaceutical, med tech / med device, and consumer health market research experience with patients and healthcare professionals is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25% of your time) and be flexible in scheduling to accommodate project needs
  • Aligns with, Models, and Coaches our values: People, Commitment, Aspiration, Trustworthiness & Impact
