Family First Health is seeking a Medical Receptionist Float for you Lebanon location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travels to and works at multiple locations based on operational and scheduling needs
  • Greets and registers patients, accurately collecting demographic, insurance, and UDS information in the EHR in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Provides excellent customer service by assisting patients and ensuring timely and effective problem resolution
  • Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, APPs, and team members, both verbally and in writing, including appropriate documentation in the EHR
  • Schedules patient appointments in alignment with established guidelines and utilization targets
  • Performs visit preparation tasks, including pre-visit insurance eligibility verification
  • Maintains a working knowledge of insurance plans and payer requirements
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure full coverage of front desk operations
  • Collects point-of-service payments and provides appropriate documentation
  • Investigates and addresses billing-related questions in collaboration with the billing department
  • Completes end-of-day processes, including cash drawer reconciliation
  • Manages incoming calls, including routing, message-taking, and providing routine information
  • Processes incoming mail and distributes to appropriate recipients
  • Completes forms and processes patient-related documentation in a timely manner
  • Manages and completes tasks from electronic work queues, inbasket messages, and other workflow systems
  • Prioritizes, routes, and escalates work from multiple sources to support efficient operations and patient care
  • Documents patient complaints, incidents, and concerns in accordance with organizational policy
  • Participates in departmental and organizational meetings as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Under the direction of supervisor, takes ownership in office and clinical setting improvement efforts
  • Attends and actively participates in site, departmental, and organizational meetings
  • Travels, as necessary, to other FFH locations to support the healthcare teams at other sites
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of prior medical receptionist experience in outpatient primary care or specialty setting
  • Strong customer service skills with a patient-centered approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, including responding effectively in urgent or high-pressure situations
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (E.H.R), as well as standard office equipment
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in work

Mental/Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a Medical Receptionist position such as:
