Clean Harbors in East Chicago, IN is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator, internally called Logistics Coordinator, to join their safety conscious team! The Logistics Coordinator is an administrative role that is responsible for coordinating the efficient use of regional equipment and manpower to provide logistical services for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Reviews available district level Shipping Request's and determines appropriate resources to schedule
  • Creates T.O.'s and assigns drivers and power units to available schedule loads
  • Integrates TTS modules into their daily schedule, including PC Miller, available DOT hours, preplanning, budgeted hours, cross docking and mapping
  • Ensures labels, manifests, LDRs are complete and accurate to execute upcoming scheduled jobs
  • Administers various aspects of drivers' logbooks, trip sheets, expenses and driver exempt forms
  • Responsible for personnel action requests for drivers
  • Maintains strong communication and working relationships with Central Logistics and the Regional Logistics team: Provides compliance/DOT information, maintenance, safety and permitting to Regional Logistics Manager. Ensures drivers meet DOT and Company regulations/policies
  • Operates within a prescribed daily operational plan relative to budgeted hours and on-time performance
  • Maintains flexibility to provide support for Field Service Emergency Responses

Qualifications
