Logistics Coordinator

Troy, MO

Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating trucks for both receiving and shipments. You will assist in managing the procedures and accommodations of daily raw material inflow and finished goods production for customer shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for trucking companies for inbound and outbound shipments at various locations.
  • Prepare and perform annual freight bids, including preparing bids for carriers, collecting data, calculating individual costs, and preparing comparison spreadsheets for management review.
  • Communicate daily with transportation providers to ensure smooth distribution of shipments.
  • Coordinate the distribution of shipments between transportation providers.
  • Perform freight negotiations to enhance service for the company and customers.
  • Collect freight rates as requested by the purchasing department and Project General Manager.
  • Create monthly freight accrual spreadsheets for the Accounting Department.
  • Serve as the finished goods process owner, collaborating with Production, Shipping, and Management to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Print ingot labels as needed and provide backup support for additional plant locations.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office within a manufacturing plant in Troy, MO. The position offers flexible start and stop times within regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
