Job description

DEFINITION:  The FAFSA Peer Coach works under the direction of the FAFSA Peer Coach Advisor to bring FAFSA awareness and support to increase FAFSA completion and create a college-going community at the high school level.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (As defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics.  This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class).
TASKS:
The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.


  • Attend FAFSA Peer Coach Training
  • Organize, promote and participate in FAFSA College Application campaign events at their school and/or district.
  • Promote FAFSA completion and a college- going culture through presentations to students and via social media.
  • Submit an end of year Program Survey to ABOR
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be enrolled as a 12th grade student at a participating HS for the full academic year.
Demonstrate interest in going to college and actively engaged in FAFSA completion.
Strong communication skills with a willingness to give presentations and speak to a wide range of students and parents about FAFSA.
Willingness to commit to the entire year
