What is a Fae job?
A Fae job typically involves duties related to nature, magic, and maintaining balance within mystical or enchanted realms. Fae may act as guardians of forests, messengers between realms, or enchanters influencing human fate. Their roles depend on their court affiliation, such as the Seelie (benevolent) or Unseelie (mischievous) courts. Many Fae also specialize in crafting illusions, granting boons, or playing tricks on unsuspecting mortals. Their work is often unpredictable, governed by ancient traditions and magical laws.

This role serves as a key technical liaison between engineering, sales, and customers, ensuring successful product deployment, training, and operational performance in the field. The FAE conducts product demonstrations, leads customer and partner training sessions, and assists in evaluating customer requirements to recommend optimal solutions. - Participate in product trials, customer engagements, and technical evaluations; generate detailed technical reports to document findings and recommendations.
- Maintain deep product knowledge across all relevant equipment and technologies to support evolving customer needs.
- In addition to core responsibilities in ground search systems, all Field Applications Engineers are expected to develop cross-functional proficiency in CEIA's walk-through metal detector (WTMD) product line. This includes training, support, and deployment responsibilities to ensure well-rounded technical coverage across field applications.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders at both technical and leadership levels.
- Gather and communicate critical customer feedback to engineering and R&D teams to support continuous product improvement.
- Collaborate with Sales and Technical teams to support pre-sales discussions, customer visits, and technical solution development.
Collaboration and Strategic Development
- Partner with internal departments, including R&D and T&M Laboratories, to test, certify, and standardize new products and system components.
- Assist in developing internal documentation, procedures, and best practices to enhance team knowledge and operational consistency.
- Support the creation and refinement of custom solutions for new business opportunities and unique field challenges.
Events, Presentations, and Training
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows; assist with technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Deliver technical training and educational sessions to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders as needed.
