Introduction

Summary Statement

A variety of seasonal park positions are available at Delaware Seashore State Park, which may include the following: \r\n\r\n\r\n1. Campground Registrar: ($15.00/hr) - responsible for all aspects of camp registration, database entry. \r\n\r\n\r\n2. Campground Store Attendant: ($15.00/hr) - responsible for all aspects of camp store operations; point-of-sale cash register duty, stocking shelves. \r\n\r\n\r\n3. Revenue Attendant (Fee Collector): ($15.00/hr) - responsible for welcoming park visitors, disseminating information, and collecting and accounting for park entrance fees. \r\n\r\n\r\n4. Custodial: ($15.00/hr) - responsible for the custodial cleaning of bathrooms, facilities, and offices. \r\n\r\n\r\n5. Grounds & Maintenance: ($15.00/hr) - responsible for the maintenance of grounds, facilities, and equipment in the park.\r\n\r\n\r\n6. Beach Accessories Rental Attendant (Umbrella Stand Attendant): ($15.00/hr) - responsible for renting beach umbrellas and chairs to park visitors; accounting for rentals and inventory. \r\n\r\n\r\nWork is performed indoors and outdoors, weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled to meet facility needs.\r\n\r\n

Essential Functions

Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here. \r\n\r\n\r\nMay collect appropriate rental fees. \r\nMay register campers into computer database and generate reports as needed. \r\nProvide excellent customer service and park information to visitors. \r\nMust be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills. \r\nMust be able to work independently. \r\nDuties will vary for each position. \r\nOther duties as assigned.\r\n\r\n

Job Requirements

Knowledge of working with money and making change. \r\n2. Knowledge of math such as addition and subtraction. \r\n3. Knowledge of customer service. \r\n\r\n\r\nCampground Registrar \r\n1. Six months customer service experience. \r\n2. Six months experience in cash handling and writing receipts. \r\n3. Six months experience in standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, or databases. \r\n\r\n\r\nMaintenance - Custodial/Grounds \r\n1. Must be at least 18 years of age. \r\n2. Experience using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools. (Grounds only) \r\n3. Possession of a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked, or cancelled, or disqualified from driving.) \r\n\r\n\r\nBeach Accessories Rental Attendant \r\n1. Work outdoors \r\n2. Six months experience in cash handling. \r\n3. Six months customer service experience. \r\n4. Ability to carry and install beach umbrellas and chairs for visitors.\r\n\r\n
