Job Summary

 The Branch Manager assures all operations at the specific location are running safely, efficiently, and are profitable.  Depending on location they will have managers reporting to them that could be involved in service, lease & rental, parts, and sales.  The branch manager needs to develop their teams while holding themselves accountable as well as their team.

Responsibilities 

  • Promote safety throughout the facility by encouraging participation in safety meetings, audits, and projects.  Support the team’s actions and concerns.  Assure meetings and tasks are documented and stored in the proper location. Responsible for overall cleanliness of facilities and the grounds around it, and a strong customer service culture.
  • Provide weekly updates to owners of locations successes, concerns, roadblocks, and where there is need for assistance from outside the location.  Of course, on urgent matters they need to be communicated as soon as possible.
  • Interact with customers and provide estimates for repairs and keep customers and insurance companies abreast of job status.
  • Schedule technicians to satisfy workload. Interact with other functions in organization to assure proper payments from customer or insurance firms.
  • Support employees by assuring proper time is submitted for their pay.
  • Assure compliance to state and local guidelines for body shops.
  • Manage their teams to engage each member and to grow their talents to promote business growth.  Work to get employee buy in and provide opportunities for employee to be part of providing solutions.
  • Stay abreast of each department needs as far as equipment and manpower and support the process to get those items addressed.
  • Oversees plant operations and facility issues by working with internal and external resources to have items maintained or fixed.
  • Support training initiatives, and meetings to promote employee awareness of products, safety, benefits, policies, etc.
  • Continually seek growth opportunities with product and process knowledge and management, technological, and compliance.
  • Assure customers are being taken care of through organizational resources. Escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Participate in employee discussions relating to performance reviews and disciplinary concerns.
  • Maintain a good understanding and support for organization to reach its goals relating to service, sales, parts, lease and rental.
  • Escalate employee relations matters to human resources when appropriate

  • Ability to mentor and hold employees accountable.
  • History of growing teams via hiring and developing. (preferred)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
