We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Facilities Manager. What we offer:

The Facilities Manager is the leader of the Maintenance Department at ShelterCare and will be resposible for managing all aspects of building and grounds maintenance: including inspections, preventive maintenance emergency repairs and major renovations; Ensuring all facilities meet relevant building codes; Developing and managing budgets for facility related expenses; Managing relationships with third party vendors; Maintaining accurate records; Monitoring safety practices; Supervising and training maintenance technicians; Actively participating in Manager Level meetings; Evaluating donated furniture in partnership with the Development Department; Implementation of a "prevention and repair" plan for agency facilities; Developing bids for outside contract work and coordinating/monitoring the contract work once hired; Overseeing the maintenance and deployment of all ShelterCare vehicles using agency software; Provide oversight of IT consultants and manage electronic equipment needs.

The role of Facilities Manager is an exempt salaried position reporting directly to our Property Developer Manager. The starting salary for this position is $61,485 - $64,480.

Our facilities team has regular contact with our program participants. Many of our participants have experienced long-term homelessness, addiction, and/or severe and persistent mental health issues. Previous experience working with this population is valuable.

What you bring to ShelterCare:

Required

A recognized certification in a building trade or the equivalence in years of experience with progressive increase in responsibility; Construction Contractor Board License (CCB) or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire; The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a maximum weight of 50 lbs.; Ability to drive agency vehicles

Essential Skills

Proven experience in facilities management; Strong leadership, management skills and ability to motivate; Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; Excellent problem-solving abilities; Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, budgets and inventories; Effective verbal and written communication skills; Proficiency in basic spreadsheet and word processing software, property management software and email communication.

ShelterCare is a social services agency that is directed by a board of community volunteers. We have multiple programs in the Eugene/Springfield area. We offer a range of housing solutions combined with wraparound services for community members who are homeless or on the verge of homelessness. This includes adults who are homeless, have been homeless in the past, have a serious mental illness, or a combination of these.
