Job description

Job Title: Principal Business Systems Analyst (Facets Expert)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly technical Principal Business Systems Analyst with extensive Facets configuration experience to lead complex, large-scale enterprise initiatives. This role acts as a critical liaison between business units, development, and technical support groups to define and implement high-impact system solutions. The ideal candidate will work at the highest technical level of systems analysis, ensuring that all technology applications align with the evolving needs of the healthcare business environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Facets Subject Matter Expertise: Apply deep configuration knowledge of Facets core features, including:
oMember Demographics & Eligibility
oProduct & Benefit Configuration
oClaims Processing (Adjudication, Denials, Balances)
oService Limits & Prior Authorizations
• Strategic Systems Analysis: Define complex information system solutions for cross-functional initiatives involving multiple platforms. Lead requirements analysis to ensure statements are consistent, traceable, and verifiable.
• Solution Architecture: Define quality attributes, external interfaces, and non-functional requirements. Recommend solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
• Technical Leadership: Instruct and validate the work of other Business Systems Analysts. Serve as a technical lead for medium-to-large scale projects, coordinating work assignments and ensuring result accuracy.
• Lifecycle Collaboration: Partner with SQA and technical teams to ensure project results fully satisfy original business requirements. Manage changing requirements by communicating impacts and risks to project sponsors.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with business and I/S stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and documentation standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years of IT and systems analysis experience, specifically leading requirements development within the Healthcare Insurance industry.
• Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of application development methodologies, IT terminology, and systems integration.
• Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical business personnel.
• Certifications: CBAP® or CCBA™ designations are highly preferred.
