Job Description
Join a well-established manufacturing company as a 2nd Shift Production Lead within the metals division. We are seeking an experienced fabrication and welding professional who can lead by example, support daily production activities, and help drive quality, efficiency, and team development. This role is ideal for someone with a strong hands-on background in metal fabrication, welding processes, and manufacturing leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support daily operations within the fabrication and welding department
  • Coordinate workflow, manpower, and production priorities to meet customer demands
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Ensure fabrication and welding work meets quality and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot production issues and assist with process improvements
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members on fabrication techniques and best practices
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate priorities across departments
  • Maintain organized work areas and support 5S initiatives
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 3+ years of fabrication and/or welding experience required
  • Fabrication and welding leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, welding techniques, and shop practices
  • Ability to prioritize work and effectively communicate with team members
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
