1st Class Structural Welder

Location: Lockport, LA

Schedule: Day Shift

Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced1st Class Structural Welder for our Lockport, LA yard. Responsibilities include structural welding, reading blueprints, fitting and welding steel components, and maintaining quality and safety standards on marine and industrial repair projects.


Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of structural welding experience
  • Proficient in FCAW and SMAW welding
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
  • Able to pass a weld test
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to work day shift and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Marine or shipyard repair experience
  • AWS or NCCER certification
  • TWIC card
  • Experience with carbon arc gouging and oxy-fuel cutting
Qualifying Questions
  1. Do you have at least 3 years of structural welding experience?
