Job description

Chief Buildings is seeking a Welder to join the Chief team. In this role, you will perform GMAW welding processes and Carbon Arc Gouging on production materials in accordance with required specifications. You'll play a key role in ensuring weld quality, structural integrity, and production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. To be successful in this position, you should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and skilled in welding techniques and equipment operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards and maintain AWS certifications, consistently meeting or exceeding the 85% UT pass ratio.
  • Operate assigned welding equipment with full knowledge of its capabilities and applicable welding codes; perform machine setup and routine maintenance.
  • Accurately complete all job-related paperwork and data entry while maintaining the required Weld Earned Hour Ratio.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport materials safely and efficiently.

Shift:
  • 2nd shift (4:30 pm - 3:00 am)

Education:
  • High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
