Job description

Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking a talented Fabrication Supervisor (2nd Shift) to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in York, PA.
The Fabrication Supervisor oversees 2nd shift (3:30pm-11:55pm) fabrication operations. This role leads and develops a team of hourly union fabricators - planning, prioritizing, and assigning daily work while monitoring and adjusting production schedules to meet targets.
At PCC, youโ€™ll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter. Whether youโ€™re driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, youโ€™ll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision!
Essential Duties of the Fabrication Supervisor:
  • Lead and direct hourly union personnel in fabrication operations
  • Assign work, train employees, and monitor quality and productivity
  • Enforce safety compliance and fostering a culture of zero incidents
  • Maintain accurate records, enforce work rules, and support morale
  • Coordinate workflow across departments to ensure efficient production
  • Recommend improvements in manufacturing methods and processes
  • Communicate effectively with engineering, other shifts, and leadership
Education/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required; completion of an apprenticeship program or related post-secondary technical education preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a setting similar to PCC.
  • 3+ years in supervisory/management
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic welding (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and workstations setup
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate clearly with employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and build productive supervisor-employee relationships in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and lead associates in a union-represented environment while maintaining accountability, consistency, and respect.
