Job description

1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Extruder Operator for our manufacturing facility. The Extruder Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves working closely with production teams to optimize processes and meet production goals while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines including twin screw extruders and related equipment.
  • Ensure quality control by performing tests and inspections, documenting results, and responding appropriately to deviations.
  • Prepare raw materials and manage inventory feeding systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of extrusion areas to prevent contamination.
  • Follow safety protocols and participate in safety and quality audits.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement projects such as scrap reduction and cycle time optimization.
  • Work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends as required.

Pay Range: $23 - $25 per hour.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience operating extrusion equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with masterbatch production and compounding processes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
