How You'll Make an Impact

As an Extruder Operator, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving specialty chemical solutions forward. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.

As an Extruder Operator, you will perform tasks to produce Thermoplastic Polyurethanes on the production floor, as well as move materials and finished products throughout the facility. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform all tasks safely observing Health, Safety and Environmental procedures. This Includes:
    • Abiding by plant and department PPE requirements.
    • Following plant safety procedures and cardinal rules.
    • Attending plant and department communication meetings.
    • Completing all Career Essentials training requirements on time.
    • Attending plant and department communication meetings.
    • Participating in safety reviews and the near miss scheme.
  • Understand the general concepts of ISO 9001; applicable quality standards.
  • Efficiently package and label finished product in timely manner.
  • Load trailers, complete paperwork and ship finished product without errors.
  • Enter production and create dispatch notes in SAP.
  • Understand how polymerization equipment works & monitor the performance of quality critical equipment.
  • Performing basic maintenance tasks and repairs associated with line operations.
  • Troubleshoot pelletization issues to maximize raw material efficiency.
  • Disassemble, clean and reassemble polymerization lines as required.
  • Complete daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Serve on the Facility Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Fire Brigade and participate in a minimum of 40 hours of annual mandatory training for at least the first 5 years of employment.
  • Identify non-conformances to ensure customer complaints are minimized.
  • Assist maintenance personnel when needed.

 

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

  • High School diploma from an accredited school or GED.
  • Candidates for this position must successfully pass assessment tests and be in good standing. Ability to lift 55 lb. buckets, move 500 lb. barrels and drive a fork lift on a regular basis.
  • Ability and willingness to serve on the facility Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Fire Brigade and participate in a minimum of 40 hours of annual mandatory training for at least the first five years of employment.
  • Ability to be trained on SAP to a high- level of accuracy for data entry.
