The Position
This application is for extra-help temporary employment ONLY.
Applications are reviewed individually and forwarded to departments upon request for extra-help support. Notification will be provided if an application is forwarded. If no department requests are made, applications remain on file for the rest of the calendar year.
As an extra-help employee, there is no guarantee of regularly scheduled hours or continued employment. Extra-help employees are paid only for hours worked and are not entitled to benefits, property rights (seniority), or promotional preference.
County departments may hire extra-help employees in specific classifications for a limited period, generally, not to exceed six (6) months unless seasonal, intermittent, on-call, or up to one (1) year when hired to work on a specific project.
